A lot of people load through the hatch, but I think your little one is too big to easily do that. You will probably have to load in from the drivers side. The Britax type clips were a snap to use. The holes to get to the anchors are deep. I would not want to use the other style latch clips though. The contour of the seat and the location of the anchors allowed for a quick solid install. I just loosened it up, clipped in the outboard one first, then climbed in and cliped the inboard one. I can tell you that I would not want to wrestle this seat in without it. I had never used the LATCH on the MA before. I would look for a place to tether, but other than that, it installed wonderfully with LATCH. I would be comfortable using this seat in this position. I didn't find a place to tether RF in our car, but it is an 04 and has a Nav system, so it may be different in your dads car. I will check the manual when I get home.ĮTA: I looked in the manual, and didn't see anything about the carseat not being ablt to rest against the front seat. The only thing I didn't check, was whether or not the seat can touch the headrest. I have to run to karate, but I will check back when I get home.
